Description:
This booklet explains about the routine immunisations that are offered to all young people before they leave school. These include immunisations against tetanus, diphtheria and polio and (if they have not been given already) MMR and meningitis C. The booklet explains why it is important for young people to get immunised, and compares the effects of each disease against the side effects of the vaccines. It also provides additional information on the signs and symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia, advice on what to do after immunisation and explains when vaccines should not be given. |
