This leaflet is about the new HPV vaccine that can help protect against cervical cancer. It is for 17�18 girls who are being vaccinated as part of a catch-up campaign for girls older than the 12�13 year old target group, who will now be routinely offered the vaccine. It addresses questions or concerns they may have about HPV, cervical cancer or the new vaccine. |

This will be sent from GP practices to girls born between 2 July 1990 and 1 July 1991 when they are invited to come for their vaccination. Additional copies are available from the central health promotion resource service in local health and social care trusts.
