Alcohol/Drugs - Alliances

As from 1 April 2009 all Health Promotion Agency responsibilities have been transferred to the Public Health Agency.

Alliances

Drug and alcohol implementation steering group (DAISG)
Involves:	This group involves: -Criminal Justice Agencies (senior representatives) -Drug and alcohol coordination teams -Government departments (senior representatives) -Health Promotion Agency (HPA).
Aim:	To ensure the implementation of the Drug strategy for Northern Ireland and the strategy for Reducing alcohol related harm.
Work:	The group meets on a regular basis to discuss issues in respect of the implementation of the drug and alcohol strategies.
