Young people and alcohol seminar


Date: Tuesday 11 March 2008
Time: 9.30am–1pm followed by lunch
Venue: Rosspark Hotel, Kells
On 11 March, the Health Promotion Agency is holding a half-day seminar on young people and alcohol in Northern Ireland. The aim of this seminar is to disseminate information from regional research on 11–16 year olds and their attitudes and behaviours in relation to alcohol. Findings in relation to the parents of 11–16 year olds will also be disseminated.

Findings from two pieces of research will be presented:

  • Health Promotion Agency qualitative research with young people and parents from 2007;
  • Queen’s University, Belfast, Institute of Child Care Research ongoing longitudinal study of substance use with young people and families.
There is no charge for attending this seminar.
