-Stranmillis College

-Western Health and Social Services Board (WHSSB).

Aim: To guide the development of training programmes and resources in the area of physical activity and to recommend to NIPAIG priority areas for action.
Work: The HPA facilitates this group which meets four times a year.
The position of Chair is currently occupied by Chris Totten, Down and Lisburn Health and Social Services Trust. The group recently launched a resource entitled, Physical activity toolkit for primary care, which aims to put physical activity on the agenda for teams working in primary care settings. As a training resource, the toolkit is designed to inform, promote and trigger action on physical activity and includes all the materials required for any member of the practice team to run a one and a half hour workshop.
