Mental Health First Aid training

Following the completion of the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) pilot project, the Health Promotion Agency, in partnership with Aware Defeat Depression, is pleased to offer two additional workshops.

The MHFA programme is a 12 hour evidence-based programme which enables participants to recognise the signs of mental distress and sign post individuals to appropriate help and support. The MHFA programme will be of interest to anyone working with people at risk of developing mental health problems.

The workshops will be run over two consecutive days and participants will be expected to attend both days. A certificate of attendance and a resource manual with supporting information will be provided.

There is no cost to participants who attend.

Workshops are planned as follows:

Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 December 2007, Comfort Hotel, Antrim
Thursday 17 and Friday 18 January 2008, Belfast Castle, Belfast

The events will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm on both days. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

To book a place on either of these events please complete the online booking form here
