Description:
This guide is the focal point of the Work Well initiative and the starting point for all businesses interested in adopting a healthy workplace strategy. It is aimed at employers, health and safety workers, human resources staff, occupational health staff and anyone else working in the field of workplace health. A hard copy of the guide, and access to an online employee questionnaire, is given to all participants on the Health Promoting Workplace training courses.

The guide contains full instructions on how to develop a healthy workplace programme, from planning to full implementation, including a self-evaluation and organisational health assessment. Presented in a user-friendly, step-by-step format, the guide details the structures and quality criteria involved, with examples to highlight the potential benefits. A CD ROM and several Work Well booklets on specific workplace issues are also included.

Additional information:
The accompanying CD ROM has a PDF file of the organisational health assessment. It also includes Word documents of the self-evaluation and the health action plan, which can be saved and completed on the computer. Only participants on the Health Promoting Workplace training courses can gain access to the online employee questionnaire, which supports the needs assessment process.
