Description:
This resource aims to support primary care teams by increasing staff knowledge and awareness of the benefits of physical activity. The pack includes all the materials required for a member of the practice team to run a one and a half hour workshop on physical activity. This includes facilitator's notes to accompany overheads and key supporting papers included in the appendices.

A4, 52 pages, toolkit (including spiral bound manual and overheads).

Target group:
Health professionals, including general practitioners, practice nurses, district nurses, health visitors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians and any other relevant member of the practice team.

The toolkit is only available from Physical Activity Coordinators as part of a training course organised by each of the four Health and Social Services Boards.

This toolkit was commissioned by the Health Promotion Agency on behalf of the Northern Ireland Physical Activity Strategy Implementation Group (NIPAIG) to support the Northern Ireland physical activity strategy action plan 1998-2002.
