Description:
This booklet explains what immunisation is and how it works.
It also explains how and why you should protect your child using
the immunisations available by comparing the effects of the
diseases (polio, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis),
Hib and meningococcal group C) against the side effects of these
vaccines. Information on what to do if your child develops a
high temperature after immunisation, when children should not
be immunised, common questions on immunisations and a timetable
of routine childhood immunisations are also included. |
