Description:
This leaflet is about the new HPV vaccine that can help protect against cervical cancer. It is for 12–13 girls and addresses questions or concerns they may have about HPV, cervical cancer or the new vaccine that has been introduced as part of the routine childhood immunisation programme. |

This leaflet will be distributed to schools via school health teams. Each girl in the target age group will receive a copy along with a question and answer booklet for parents and a consent form that should be signed and returned to the school health team. A small quantity are also available from the central health promotion resource service in local health and social care trusts.
