This report is based on a survey of 3,560 young people in Northern Ireland. The survey was carried out between November 1996 and January 1997 to assess young people's awareness, perceptions and knowledge of a range of illicit drugs and solvents. Questions were also asked about their attitude to information, where they received information and where they would be most likely to seek information. The report presents selected results from the survey. Comparisons are made between young people in two age groups: 10 to 13 years and 14 to 17 years.
