Annual report 2005-2006

Published:
HPA, September 2006

Description:
This publication highlights the achievements of the HPA during the year and provides a broad overview of work undertaken in priority areas. It also details how the work has fulfilled business objectives and demonstrates commitment to developing cross-sectoral partnerships and to the goals of the Investing for Health strategy.

The content reflects the development of the settings approach and continued work in areas such as drugs and alcohol, tobacco, nutrition, breastfeeding, physical activity, sexual health, mental and emotional health, and health protection. Work in research and evaluation, training and professional development, communications, and international collaboration is also highlighted.

The work area 'Maternal and child health' including CEMACH (Confidential Enquiry into Maternal and Child Health), which was integrated into the HPA organisation earlier this year, is also detailed. The operating and financial review is also incorporated.
