Description:
This document presents a clear outline of the Agency's work
and financial accounts for 2001-2002. It explains how the
Agency worked to tackle the regional priorities of alcohol,
tobacco, drugs, nutrition, physical activity, sexual health
and mental and emotional health. It reports on the Agency's
work in developing alliances for health, its cross border
work and on the strengthening of links with national and international
groups working to promote health. It
details the research carried out during the year and shows
how this has guided much of our work, and reviews the training
and development opportunities offered by the Agency to support
those working to promote health. The report also highlights
many of the initiatives, campaigns and resources which helped
to communicate relevant and timely information on a range
of health issues. Also noted are the outcome of the Agency's
second quinquennial review, the approval of the Agency's Equality
Scheme and the Agency's continued commitment to the Investor
in People award. A
guide to the Agency's Board and staff members is also presented.
