Description:
The aim of this publication is to provide examples of good practice in developing a health promoting school. The examples are provided by the 13 post-primary and three special schools who participated in the European Network of Health Promoting Schools project in Northern Ireland during the 1996/97 school year.

The schools have provided: examples of curriculum development in a range of areas; school policies on a range of issues; examples of whole school curricula and evaluation models. They have also provided a picture of the reality of carrying out such work against the backdrop of competing priorities.
