Description:
This CD ROM is intended to provide teachers with materials for teaching breastfeeding awareness which are easy to use, up to date and relevant to Northern Ireland. It aims to assist teachers to approach breastfeeding in a way that is interesting, thought provoking and encourages discussion on the subject. The CD ROM includes PowerPoint presentations for two lessons, along with background reading for teachers, preparation notes for each lesson, teachers' notes for each PowerPoint slide, worksheets, revision sheets and suggestions for additional projects. A printed copy of all the materials is provided. An image library for use in project work is also included on the CD ROM. |

Copies of this resource have been distributed to all post-primary schools in Northern Ireland. A pilot version of the resource was evaluated with teachers and pupils, and the results of the evaluation can be found here.
